JAY – Delaware County commissioners dealt with bids, permits and funds during their regular meeting Monday morning.

Sealed bids on the lease purchase of a used ladder truck for the Grove Fire Department will be advertised. Bids are due in the Delaware County Clerk’s office by Aug. 27, and will opened on Aug. 30 at 9 a.m. The winning bid will be accepted on Sept. 7 in the commissioners’ office.

The Bernice Fire Department is advertising for bids to sell a used 1993 rescue truck. Bids will be accepted until Aug. 27. Bids will opened and reviewed with possible acceptance during the commissioners’ meeting on Aug. 30.

Two utility permits were approved for road cuts or bores. Rural Water District #1, located in District #2 put up a $3,000 bond and Jerry’s Excavation was given the green light for road cuts or bores in District #3 after posting a $22,000 bond.

A bid from Jennifer and Greg Vanarsdel of $50 for a lot in Flint Ridge RV Park was opened. The property is land not sold during the resale.

Funds were transferred for District #2 within highway cash amounting to $5,000 from T2 to T1B. District #3 transferred $2,000 from T1 to T2A.

Approved were new flood plain regulations and a map for Delaware County. The map was approved at an earlier meeting of the Delaware County Flood Plain board.

Approved was the annual renewal of software maintenance and licensure with Landmark, Inc. and Marshall & Swift third party for the Delaware County Assessor’s office for fiscal year 2010-2011.

The Delaware County Extension office named Barbara Denney as requisitioning officer and named Amy O’Brien as Receiving and Inventory officer.

Bill Pierson will fill the unexpired term as requisitioning officer for the Delaware County Health Department upon the retirement of Jane Ann Nichols. Pierson has already assumed the responsibility as acting administrative direction of that department.

The next meeting of the Delaware County Commissioners will start at 9 a.m. on Aug. 9 in the commissioners’ office of the Delaware County Courthouse.
