DELAWARE COUNTY – The Fourth Annual Chocolate Affaire benefiting the United Way of Delaware County held on Feb. 7, at the Stonebrook Inn was a success, according to co-chair, Shawn Curl.

“Although bad weather again this year forced us to postponed the event a week, we were very pleased with the number of people who came out on the 7th to enjoy some wonderful chocolate and support the United Way,” said Curl.

Event co-chairs, Curl and Ellen Oliver, would like to express their gratitude to the following businesses who contributed to the success of the event: The Artichoke in Langley; Café Tiramisu, Java Dave’s, and Kameryn King Catering, all of Grove; City Perk in Jay; Lorene’s Restaurant in Fairland; Main Sweets in Noel, Mo.; Northeast Technology Center Culinary Arts in Afton; Hometown Bottled Water, McDonald’s, Arvest Bank, Grand River Abstract & Title Co., Grand Savings Bank, Grove Community Playmakers, and the Stonebrook Inn.

“We are already brainstorming and discussing plans for the 5th Annual Chocolate Affaire, to be held next February,” said Curl.

It is the goal of the Board of Directors for the annual Chocolate Affaire to continue to grow each year and eventually become the signature fund raising event for the United Way of Delaware County.
