JAY – Delaware County Commissioners made quick work of a light agenda Monday morning concerning purchase orders, agreements, and funds.
An agreement with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to update the current hazard mitigation plan between FEMA and the Delaware County Emergency Management was approved. The state funds amount to $77,925.00 that is available through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, which is monitored by Grand Gateway. The updated plan will involve all the schools in Delaware County.
Delaware County Emergency Management also approved a bid for a backup generator. The winning bid was submitted by All-State Electric in the amount of $35,000 which was the lowest bid submitted.
Commissioners entered into a contract with Thyssenkrupp Elevator concerning the yearly elevator testing procedures required by the state. Until today, the commissioners coordinated QEI-Response safety personnel to meet for safety checks along with Thyssenkrupp and dealing with both entities to be at the courthouse at the same time has been difficult. Today, commissioners entered into a contract in the amount of $800 for Thyssenkrupp to coordinate the two agencies for the inspection, and file the reports with the required agencies in order to comply with state elevator safety statutes.
In other business:
• Blanket purchase orders for the Sheriff’s Office for $3,000 was approved. Crank’s Sinclair, Autolube and Mease Medical Clinic will each have a $1,000 blanket purchase order available.
• Highway cash was set at 65,431.16 for each district for the month of December and each district will receive $7,771.00 for their 105 County Bridge and Road Inspection (CBRI) monies.
• Funds in the amount of $3,190 was transferred to Maintenance & Operation from their Carr Creek Bridge #21 account
The next meeting of the Delaware County Commissioners will be held on Mon., Dec. 6 starting at 9 a.m in the commissioners office of the Delaware County Courthouse.
