Grove’s Project Graduation is having a Valentine fundraiser with offerings guaranteed to make this year’s holiday a memorable one.
The crown jewel of Project Graduation’s gift selection is a four-foot tall FAO Swartz teddy bear. The bear is holding a red, lip-shaped container stuffed full of Hershey’s kisses. The one-of-a-kind bear cost $135 and can be viewed at the Bank of Grove beginning February 1st.
The FAO bear is available in limited quantities. Only 15 will be sold. It promises to be one of the most exclusive Valentine’s Day gifts a person could give or receive.
Project Graduation will also be selling two kinds of large, ceramic dishwasher-safe candy bowls for the holiday. A white teddy bear sits in a lake of Hershey’s kisses and comes complete with a red bow for a price of $35. For $25 a slightly smaller bowl, brimming with candy, can be had, sans the bear.
Like the FAO bear these gifts are available in limited supply - 15 each - and will be available for viewing at the Bank of Grove.
For $15 Project Graduation will prepare a box of a dozen heart-shaped frosted cookies from Cakes-A-Risen. Quantities of this gift are also limited to 15.
A practical, but no less thoughtful gift, a Valentine box lunch, is also available for order. The lunch costs $10 and will be delivered in a festive holiday box. Thirty of these gifts are available for order.
To purchase any of these gifts for your Valentine contact Carmel Swartz, 918-231-2899, or Barbara Townsend, 918-964-1077. The FAO bear and ceramic bowls may also be purchased at the Bank of Grove.
Order deadline is Tuesday, February 11th. The box lunches and cookies are available by phone order only and will be delivered by 11 AM on Friday, February 13th. Delivery of the other gifts is available by request.
The Project Graduation prom and eveningwear benefit sale is still accepting donations of dresses and other chic fashions. Many of the items that will be offered for sale will be pieces that have been very gently worn once or twice and purchased for over $500 brand new.
No item at the benefit will have a price tag of over $50 no matter the original cost.
The Prom and Eveningwear Benefit will be held at the Grove Civic Center on Saturday February 28th and will run from 9 AM to noon.
To donate a dress contact Shannon Johnson at 918-527-6251 or Barbara Townsend at 918-964-1017. Donated dresses may also be delivered to the Bank of Grove.
Project Graduation serves as a benefit for the senior class of GHS. Funds raised are used to develop and install various functions as pertaining to graduation night.
