GROVE – A Jay woman remains in a Missouri hospital after another driver failed to stop at a stop sign and hit her car, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Anita Jones, 45, was flown by helicopter to Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo., where she was admitted in good condition with head, arm and leg injuries, the patrol reported.
According to the patrol the accident happened around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Jones was traveling east on State Highway 10 about a mile east if Grove near the State Highway 25 intersection when she was hit by truck, the patrol reported.
Frank Grippando, 70, of Grove failed to stop for a stop sign, the patrol reported. He was treated and released from Grove Integris Hospital with an arm injury, the patrol reported.
Both were wearing seatbelts, the patrol reported.
