The Grand Lake Chapter of the Home Builders’ Association of Greater Tulsa met at the Roadhouse on Monkey Island Thursday night to discuss the Grand Gala of Homes set for this summer.
Approximately 85 people attended the dinner, including 27 builders from the Grand Lake area.
GLC Home Builders’ Association President Bruce Hensley, who was one of the speakers at the dinner, said the Grand Lake Chapter had joined with the Home Builder’s Association of Greater Tulsa in order to provide better service to its members.
“They take care of all the things we can’t take care of because we’re out there building homes,” he said.
Hensley said the association is seeking more members at this time.
The Grand Gala of Homes will take place July 19th and 20th. Five builders from the area have already committed their homes for the parade, which will showcase premium homes from around the area to potential buyers.
Dinner for the event was provided by Judy Harris, owner of the Roadhouse.
Dinner sponsors included Grand River Abstract & Title, Rose & MCCrary , PC, Mill Creek Lumber, REC Northeast Okla., Electric Coop, Bomford, Couch and Wilson Insurance, and Grand Lake Title & Escrow.
Other sponsors for the parade include three Billboard Sponsors, Arvest Bank, Sanco Lumber, and Bank of Oklahoma, as well as three Grand Gala Guide Sponsors, The First National Bank and Trust (Grove Branch), Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, and Grand Savings Bank.
