COLCORD – The Chamber of Commerce here kicked off its annual Christmas fundraiser, raising $3,289 with a pie supper and auction on Saturday, October 9.
Chamber of Commerce President Connie Amos said she was “more than thrilled” with the success of the event.
The money raised will be used for the Chamber’s annual Christmas production, “A Christmas to Remember”, on December 11, and Amos said she anticipates that the Dan Draper Community Center will be packed on that evening.
“The kids will all receive a meal, a present and a play [that the Chamber is putting together],” Amos said.
The Colcord Chamber expressed appreciation for all in the community who attended Saturday’s event and the donors who helped make it a success.
“We are grateful to Lazy Boy, Wal-Mart, Ceramics Intent and Cowboy Crossroads for Christ,” said Amos.
The Chamber is still accepting donations, and anyone interested can contact Connie Amos at 1-479-238-5079.
