KETCHUM -  A Ketchum woman has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend after a quarrel escalated early Sunday morning.

Kayla Dianna Criger, 22 of the Ketchum area, is in custody after emergency personnel responded to a 911 call regarding a male bleeding from a stab wound to his left leg.

The victim, 29 year-old Robert Allen Higgins, was treated and taken by ambulance to Craig County Hospital where he was treated and life-flighted to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Higgins is listed in critical, but stable condition, according to the report from Delaware County Sheriff's Captain Ron Teel.

According to authorities, the couple had spent the night out drinking and started arguing. The argument continued in their Ketchum home and escalated into the stabbing of Higgins, her boyfriend of two months.

During a search of the residence, what appeared to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found.

Criger was taken into custody without incident and is set to make her initial apprearance Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. When bond will be set.

The investigation is still on going with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) and the Delaware County Sheriff Office.
