JAY — Two Jay men have been arrested for possession of drugs after a detective caught one of the men urinating on the side of the road.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed by Sheriff’s Captain Ron Teel, the suspect’s vehicle was parked on the side of a road around 9 p.m. March 15, and the driver was urinating by the passenger door.

The driver, Robbie Cole Denny, 21 of Jay, was found to be in possession of a substance that field-tested positive for marijuana and 10 blue colored pills.

A passenger in the vehicle, Chase Gentry Goins, also had a clear plastic bag containing a green leafy substance along with items used to smoke marijuana.

Both men were arrested and transported to the Delaware County jail.

During the booking process another clear plastic bag containing a green leafy substance was found on Denny.

Denny could face charges of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and transporting an open container of beer.

Goins could be charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
