JAY – A Grove man was arrested after authorities were called to investigate a burglary in progress at a Wyandotte home.

Sheriff’s deputies met with the owners of the residence who said when they arrived home they discovered items on a table and a broken window.

During a search, officers discovered William Eugene Embrey, 41 of Grove, in the closet.

Embrey was placed in custody at that time and during a search of the home, it was discovered that several guns were taken from a gun rack and the suspect had gained entry into the home through the window that investigators determined was broken with a piece of wood.

Embrey is currently on probation on several offenses in Delaware County including possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, burglary of an automobile and a conviction of 1st degree burglary in Mayes County.

He remains incarcerated on a  $6,000 bond and could face a felony charge of burglary in the second degree.
