The widening and resurfacing of a portion of U.S. Highway 59 in Grove will be going up for bids in May, according to officials with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT).
ODOT plans to review all submitted bids and make a determination on whether to accept one at its regular board meeting in June.
“If it does get awarded, it the work could begin any time from within six weeks to several months out,” said ODOT Spokesperson Kenna Mitchell.
Mitchell said ODOT has allowed 390 days for the completion of the project, once it is begun, and has included incentives for earlier completion.
The project is to include the widening and resurfacing of 2.89 miles of Highway 59 located 1.48 miles northwest of State Highway 10.
The ODOT Board will discuss the project at a regularly scheduled meeting on June 2 at 11:00 a.m. in Oklahoma City.
