A Delaware County woman accused of raping a 13-year-old boy and beating a 12-year-old child with a metal pipe is in custody in a Florida jail awaiting extradition to Oklahoma.

Cathryn Maughn, 43, of Eucha is charged in Delaware County District Court with first-degree rape and child abuse by injury.

The two boys, now ages 13 and 14, told investigators the abuse began in October 2017.

The older teen told investigators Maughn threatened him with a black metal bat and when he refused to have sex with her and would use the bat to hit the teen on the leg, according to an arrest affidavit.

Maughn hit the victim with her fists and broomsticks and later threatened the teen with a baseball bat if he told anyone about the assaults, the affidavit states.

Maughn grabbed the younger teen’s hair and threw him against a wall, busting his lip and using a metal pipe to hit the teen on the back of his legs, the affidavit states.

The older teen received favorable treatment, such as a cell phone, expensive clothes and was treated better than the younger teen, the affidavit states.

The younger teen said Maughn would sit on him and bounce up and down to where he could not breathe. According to arrest records Maughn is 5-foot, 4-inches and weighs 150 pounds.

Bail was set at $220,000, according to an employee with the Highlands County (Florida) Sheriff’s office.
