The Delaware County Commissioners reviewed a proposal on Monday, July 30 to have the courthouse’s elevator inspected.

The cost of the inspection is $975 by Thyssennkrupp, said Russell Martin, District 1 commissioner.

No other action was taken.

Also approved was a borrow permit agreement with Oaks Indian Mission for a road in District No. 3 to remove materials.

In financial business, the commissioners approved a $13,000 blanket purchase order to Oament Equipment for the repair of a motor grader in District No. 3 and 2 $20,000 blanket purchase order for repairs to the Flint Ridge Fire Department ladder truck. Also approved was a $2,400 USD- APHIS Wildlife Services invoice and cooperative agreement.

The commissioners met in executive session for almost 30 minutes and took no action. The purpose of the executive session was to discuss employment issues for the Human Resources director, Emergency Management director and County Commission administrative assistant.

Other items approved was a County Road Machinery and Equipment Fund resolution and a civil case, Cornerstone Bank, vs. Kevin Smith, et. al, a foreclosure, was forwarded to the district attorney’s office.

The next meeting is 9 a.m., Monday, Aug. 6, at the Delaware County Courthouse in the Commissioners’ Public Meeting room.
