The Delaware County commissioners approved paying a single payment workers compensation payment which will save the county $3,000.

County Commissioner Chairman Russell Martin (District 2) said the county had received three quotes and different payment schedules during the meeting on Monday, June 4, in Jay.

The commissioners approved paying $190,375 in a single payment.

After receiving no acceptable bids for extermination services, the commissioner approved to rebid the job. Sther services for paper and cleaning products and uniform services were also approved for rebid.

The commissioners also opened sealed bids for road materials and said they would make a decision on what company at a later date. The commissioners awarded a bid of $25,000 for a used semi tractor for District No. 1.

In financial business, the commissioners transferred $14,000 from the 911 personal service account to the sheriff’s personal service account and $135 from the county assessor’s maintenance and operations account to its travel account.

Also approved was a $49,600 request for sponsorship by Cherokee Nation Tribal Council for a Lakemont Shores road.

The commissioners approved an agreement to work on private property belonging to Ozark National Wildlife Refuge located in Colcord.

The commissioners approve officers for the Health Department, the County Clerk’s Office and the Treasurer’s Office.

The officers for the health department are: Maria Alexander, Kristen O’Herin and Brandi Larmon, requisitioning and Baylee Keener, Jana Haynes, receiving.

The officers for the Treasurer’s Office are: Susan Duncan, Treasa Earp and Meagan Hamby, requisitioning; Pam Blecha, Jackie Wyatt and Martha Williams, receiving and Merikki Truillo, Pam Hale and Lesley Simpson, inventory.

The county clerk’s officers are: Barbara Barnes and Shirley Hinman, requisitioning; Vici Kirby and Shannon Sergeant, receiving and Kathy Parker, inventory. Hinman was also approved as designation of record.

Also approved during the meeting, for the county treasurer’s office were depositories and contracts with Xerox, OME, Java Dave’s and TM Consulting.
