The Grove City Council will conduct a public meeting this week to discuss the upcoming city budget.

The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5 at the Grove Community Center, Room 5.

The budget, discussed in May during a two hour special session, has a total of $9,724,400 for the general expenditures; $432,700 for the emergency communication fund (the newly named police dispatch and 911), and $5,458,900 for the city capital fund.

In other business, council members will discuss and possibly take action on the violation of an amended administrative order for a residence located at 615 S. Cherokee Street.

Other items to be approved are:

• an application for a permit from the Southern Drag Boat Association for the sale and consumption of low-point beer at the drag racing race set for July 7 and 8 at Wolf Creek Park.

• a sales tax incentive agreement with Gabby’s Place.

• an agreement with attorney Darren Cook to provide legal services.

The council will also go into executive session to discuss the city treasurer’s annual evaluation.
