Rock the Runway

Photography by Katherine presents "Rock the Runway" featuring the 2018 senior models, at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, at COS (Church of the Shepherd) at 1600 West Har-Ber Road, Grove.

Tickets are $8 per person, with VIP front row seats available for $20. Tickets may be purchased from the models or at Photography by Katherine.

Grand opening in Jay

Officials with Casey’s General Store will mark the grand opening of the newest location in Jay with a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 26, in Jay.

Burning of the Socks returns

Relax, Take it Easy, the Regge themed Burning of the Socks party, will take place beginning at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 28 at Harbors View Marina on south Grand Lake.

The event, which traditionally marks the opening of the summer season, gives participants a chance to burn their socks in favor of flip flops. The Northwest Arkansas band Irie Lions will perform.

The event is free and includes Walking Tacos. Beverages will be available to purchase, as well as this year's Burning of the Socks T-shirt for $18 each.

Wine & Roses on Main Street

Wine & Roses, a girl's night out shopping experience, will take place beginning at 5 p.m., Thursday, May 10, in downtown Miami.

The event is designed to allow people to enjoy some wine and food while shopping in downtown Miami. Tickets are $30 in advance or $25 at the door. Tickets are available at the Miami News Record office, 1st Ave. NW, Miami.

Toes in Grand Summer Kickoff Festival

Officials with the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce and the Grove Convention and Tourism Bureau will host the first "Toes in Grand" Summer Kickoff Festival, on Friday, June 1, and Saturday, June 2, at Wolf Creek Park in Grove.

The event will feature the largest free Trop Rock Music Festival in the Four-State Region including bands from Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri, as well as fun activities, contests and more.

It will also kick off the summer's Food Truck Friday, with food trucks being at the festival both Friday and Saturday.

The weekend's events include an open car show, 5K Fun Run, Kids Zone, vendors, and more.
