Carrie Elaine Couch, 35, of Grove passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 at her home in Grove with her family by her side.

Carrie was born on Nov. 16, 1982 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Connie Shepperd.

Carrie attended Oklahoma State University and graduated with a degree in early elementary education.

While at OSU, Carrie met the love of her life, Ricky Couch. They were married in Stillwater on June 11, 2005. Carrie was an early childhood teacher at several schools, but spent the majority of her teaching career at Turkey Ford.

Carrie enjoyed meeting people and making lots of friends. She had a nonstop smile that was infectious.

Carrie loved to watch her boys play ball. Taking the boys to games and practices kept Carrie busy. She was very active in several non-profit groups, raising funds for breast cancer awareness and research.

Carrie was a member of Three Rivers Presbyterian in Grove, where she was an integral part of the church family.

Carrie was preceded in death by her mother, Connie Shepperd and her grandmother, Geneva Maxine Shepperd.

Carrie is survived by her husband, Ricky Couch of the home; two sons, Brody Couch and Cooper Couch of the home; one brother, Jonathan McFarland and wife Kristina of Easton, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Rebecca McGee and husband Ryan of Edmond, and Miriam McFarland of Union City; five nieces; two nephews; and a host of friends and family.

Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 23, at Three Rivers Presbyterian Church in Grove.

Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, Grove's First Baptist Church in Grove. The Reverend Mark Kuiper will officiate and Elder Bo Byers will deliver the eulogy.

Serving the family as casket bearers will be Jonathan McFarland, Ryan McGee, Jason Couch, Dustin Matthews, Rusty Rumley and Scotty Gay. Honorary casket bearers will be Jason Sheffield, Jake Allen, Travis Bacon, Justin Chizmar and Clayton Baker. Interment will follow at Olympus North Cemetery in Grove.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Carrie’s sons’ scholarship fund at First National Bank, in Grove.
