Members of the Friends of Grove Public Library are soliciting donations for the upcoming Spring Book Sale.
The sale, slated for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 14, takes place at the Grove Community Center, 104 West Third, Grove.
Donations will be accepted for the sale, of gently used books, after 3 p.m., on Thursday, April 12, or from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, April 13, at the community center.
The spring book sale is the largest fundraiser for the Friends of the Grove Public Library. The funds will benefit the “Books for Babies” - a new book given to every baby born at INTEGRIS Grove Hospital, a $1,000 for a graduating Grove High School senior, prizes for the summer reading program and any special needs or updating for the library.
Hardback books are $1, paperbacks .25 cents, romance books are .10 cents and children's books are .25 cents. Proceeds from the sale will benefit programs sponsored by the organization at the Grove Public Library.
