Woodson to speak Sunday
Evangelist Woody Woodson will speak at 10:15 a.m., Sunday, March 18, at Cornerstone Church, Grove.
Woodson has been in full-time ministry for 30 years. He travels extensively and brings a straight-forward approach to motivate the Church to action for God.

Sixth Annual Soup & Sermon
The Sixth Annual Soup & Sermon series, sponsored by the Grove Ministerial Alliance, will take place on Tuesdays, now to March 27 during the lenten season.
The event includes a free soup meal, served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and worship from 12:15 to 12:50 p.m. Speakers represent various churches within the Grove community.

David Phelps in Concert
Multi-Dove and Grammy Award-winning recording artist, David Phelps present the Journey of Faith Tour Thursday, March 22, at Grove's First Baptist Church in Grove.
Phelps is best known for being part of the Gather Vocal Band.

Easter Egg Hunt
Volunteers with Grove's First Baptist Church will host the annual Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 31, at the church 501 East 13th Street, Grove.
The event will include thousands of eggs filled with candy, prizes and tickets for larger prizes. Children up to fifth grade can bring their Easter baskets to pick up eggs. There will be a designated area for different age groups. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.

Sunrise service at Mt. Hermon
The congregation at Mount Hermon Church will host an Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 1.
The event will begin with breakfast at 6:30 a.m., in the Family Live Center. Sunrise is set to begin a few minutes after 7 a.m. The event will include a short message as participants watch the sun come up and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.

Community Bereavement Classes
Community Bereavement Classes have been set for the four Mondays in October at INTEGRIS Grove Hospital. The classes will be from 7 to 8:15 p.m. on Mondays, April 2 and 9, and Thursdays, April 5 and 12.
Weekly topics are as follows; April 2 - An Overview of Grief; April 5 - Spiritual Aspects of Grief; April 9 - Sharing Our Story and; April 12 - Criteria for Reconciliation.
Gary Bishop, chaplain at INTEGRIS Grove Hospital and class facilitator, said the classes deal with a variety of losses and are designed to be an encouragement for people experiencing loss as well as educational. The classes are free and open to the public. They are informal sessions.

Veterans Appreciation Day
Volunteers at Foundation Free Will Baptist Church, in conjunction with the DAV Chapter #19 and the Veterans in Defense of Liberty, will host a Veterans Appreciation Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 7, at the church.
The event is designed to recognize veterans and their families. Breakfast will be served from 9 to 10 a.m., and lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. A bounce house and other activities will be available.
Guest speakers include Dr. William Scott Magill, founder and executive director VIDOL, and Darin Chappell, vice president VIDOL.

Hoppers in concert
Members of the award winning gospel group, The Hoppers, will be in concert at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, April 7, at Grove's First Baptist Church in Grove.
The Hoppers, featured artists on the Gaither Homecoming Series Videos, will present a concert to benefit the restoration of Cayuga-Splitlog Mission Church.

Taste Of Grace, a free soup outreach ministry, organized by members of Trinity Baptist Church, Grove, will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., every Wednesday, at the church.
The event is designed to provide soup to anyone, no questions asked. No preaching, just "made from scratch soup."

Caring Kitchen/Feed My Sheep
Volunteers with The Caring Kitchen and Feed My Sheep have combined efforts to provide their services on the same day.
The Caring Kitchen, now located at 11th and Washbourne, in Jay, will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, while Feed My Sheep will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m, across the roadway in its facility.
Caring Kitchen 2.0 will provide a nutritious meal once a week in its new location in Jay. Feed My Sheep will provide a food pantry for those in need on the same day.
The combined operation is designed to allow the two organizations to join forces in order to serve members of the community.
