The female victim in the possible weekend homicide has been identified as Ransom White.

According to Jessica Brown, spokesman for the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation, medical examiners determined the body found on Sunday, Feb. 11, outside a trailer house in the Kingpoint Mobile Home Park, belonged to White, 53.

White was a resident at the park located north of Grove off East 254 Road, on the Elk River branch of Grand Lake.

About the incident

Brown said a neighbor discovered White's body at approximately 7 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 11.

Brown said White's body was taken to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's office in Tulsa, to determine the manner and cause of death. The information was still pending as of press time Thursday.

Brown indicated White's body showed some signs of injuries, which led investigators to consider homicide as the cause of her death.

On Monday, Delaware County Sheriff Harlan Moore indicated he called in OSBI investigators for assistance. He referred all other questions back to Brown.

Brown said at least three agents are assisting deputies with the investigation, and will continue to work the case as a homicide until otherwise notified by the medical examiner.

Persons with information about White, or who she was with just prior to her death, are asked to contact the OSBI at 1-800-522-8018 or the Delaware County Sheriff's Office at 918-253-4531.
