Marcus “Marty” Edford Fell, III, 52, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Born on Sept. 10, 1965 in Pryor, Oklahoma, he is the son of Marcus Edford Fell, Jr. and Frances Coppedge Fell.
Marty spent time growing up in United Arab Emirates and Kuwait before returning to Kansas, where he graduated from high school in 1983.
He studied engineering at Northeastern State University and Oklahoma State University.
Marty spent most of his career working in the oil fields of Alaska, most recently working as a special projects coordinator for British Petroleum.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Kenai, Alaska. Marty was a member of Milne Point Volunteer Fire Department, serving as captain.
He is survived by his parents: Marcus Fell, Jr. and Frances Fell of Kansas; four children: Joshua Fell and wife Alyssa, Ashton Fell, Jared Fell and Marcus James Fell and significant other Haley James, all of Siloam Springs; five grandchildren, Cruze Fell, Jillian Fell, Marlayna Torres, Jaxson Linn and Addileigh Fell; brother: Kirby Fell and Bill McManaman of Santa Maria, California; sister Kelly Dubics of Midland, Texas, three nieces: Jennifer, Shawna, and McKinley; nephew: Terrin; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, with Pastor Dean Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Kansas Cemetery.
