The Lady Bulldogs lost two back to back games against Catoosa 43-54 and the following night at Grove 50-69.

Catoosa

Their first game of the two-night series was against Catoosa (10-11) played at home.

The game started close with the Lady Bulldogs ending the first quarter of play after trailing 10-16.

The girls worked to start to close the early gap in the second quarter of play with ending the half at 20-25.

After the return from the break the Lady Bulldogs lost some ground by the end of the third quarter trailing 33-43.

Unable to close the gap the game ended with a loss for Jay 43-54.

High scorers for the night were Callie Callihan who put up 17 points for the girls followed by Sydney Taylor and Jade Frazier who both put up six points.

The girls made 9/19 buckets at the line giving them a 47 percent free throw completion rate.

Grove

The Lady Bulldogs headed over to Grove (15-3) to play their big sister city rivalry game on Saturday, Feb. 3.

The Lady Bulldogs had an incredible first half of play, during the first quarter the ladies kept the score tight and maintained the lead over Grove for much of the first quarter of play ending 18-19.

At one point during the second quarter the girls were trailing by 10 points but where able to close the gap ending the half 32-34.

During the third quarter of play the girls fell behind the Ridgerunners ending the quarter 39-53.

Unable to regain the momentum they fell back to end the game 50-69.

The Lady Bulldogs did outshoot the Lady Ridgerunners in free throws but trailed in two and three point shots.

Overall the girls from Jay shot 12/22 for two points and 4/19 for three giving them an effective field goal percentage of 43.9.

The eFG takes into account the different weight of both two and three point shots and calculates accordingly.

The girls were able to drop 14/19 bucket at the line for a free throw percentage of 73.7.

Callihan led the night again with the top scorer making 21 points for the girls followed by Landkey Sweeney and Myaleigh Pickup both with seven points.

Sweeney put up 7/8 or 87.5 percent at the line followed by Callihan with 75 percent.

The girls were scheduled to play in Miami on Tuesday, Feb. 6 but the score was unavailable as of press time..

Their last two games of the season will both be at home against Locust Grove on Friday, Feb. 9 and Senior night against Kansas, Monday, Feb. 12.
