GHS Speech Rummage Sale

Volunteers with the Grove High School Speech Team will host a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Grove High School Commons area.

Participants are asked to park in the student parking lot (at the rear of the high school) and enter thru the gym entrance.

The sale will include all kinds of treasurers including furniture. Proceeds will benefit the speech activities.

Additionally, a bake sale, hosted by the students, will benefit COW Week. For more information, persons interested may call 918-786-3003 ext. 3.

Huckleberry Park Cleanup Day

Volunteers are needed to help clean up Huckleberry Park in Jay, located behind Arvest Bank in Jay.

The effort is being organized by officials with the City of Jay, in an effort to make the community a better place.

The work day is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, at the park. Participants are asked to bring rakes, gloves, seedeaters and other lawn tools to help with the effort.

Jay FFA/4-H Chapter Show

The Jay FFA/4-H Chapter Show takes place on Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Delaware County Fairgrounds, located on Highway 59 between Jay and Grove.

The barn will open at 8 a.m., with the check-in/weigh-in times set for noon to 1 p.m. The show starts at 1 p.m., with the order as follows: goats, sheep, cattle, swine.

In each species division, a senior and junior showmanship contest will take place.
