A Gathering of Vets
A Gathering of Vets takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at the CLC Building at First Baptist Church in Jay.
The meeting takes place on the second Thursday of each month, typically in the church's CLC Building, 503 North Fourth Street, Jay. Food will be available until it runs out.

Sixth Annual Soup & Sermon
The Sixth Annual Soup & Sermon series, sponsored by the Grove Ministerial Alliance, will take place on Tuesdays, from Feb. 20 to March 27 during the lenten season.
The event includes a free soup meal, served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and worship from 12:15 to 12:50 p.m. Speakers TBA.

Gospel sing in Joplin
The first Sunday Gospel sing will take place at 5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 4, in the chapel at Forest Park Baptist Church, in Joplin, Missouri.
The event, presented by Mike Greenstreet Ministries will feature Tommy Fairchild of Branson, Missouri, Todd and Billie East of Miami.
The church is located at Seventh and Rangeline in Joplin. The chapel entrance is on the northeast side of the building.

Mauldins to talk about India
Kerry and Melody Mauldin, veteran missionaries to India, will talk about various aspects of the ministry in India at 10:15 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 4, at Cornerstone Church, Grove.
The couple will discuss fresh water projects, church buildings, miracles and the truth of God's word.

David Phelps in Concert
Multi-Dove and Grammy Award-winning recording artist, David Phelps present the Journey of Faith Tour Thursday, March 22, at Grove's First Baptist Church in Grove.
Phelps is best known for being part of the Gather Vocal Band.
The doors will open at 6 p.m., with the concert starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $35 for artist circle. Tickets are available at the church (cash or check only). or online at itickets.com.

Bluegrass Jam at St. Andrew's
Musicians of all ages are invited to take part in the weekly Bluegrass Jam from 6 to 9 p.m., every Monday, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Grove.
All ages and levels of ability are welcome. The event is open to the whole family.
People are encouraged to participate or sit back and listen. Free coffee and water are provided.

Grand Lake Senior Friends meets every Thursday. This program for seniors is based at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and meets at various locations, for fellowship, games, and crafts.

Taste of Grace
Taste Of Grace, a free soup outreach ministry, organized by members of Trinity Baptist Church, Grove, will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., every Wednesday, at the church.
The event is designed to provide soup to anyone, no questions asked. No preaching, just "made from scratch soup."

Caring Kitchen/Feed My Sheep
Volunteers with The Caring Kitchen and Feed My Sheep have combined efforts to provide their services on the same day.
The Caring Kitchen, now located at 11th and Washbourne, in Jay, will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, while Feed My Sheep will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m, across the roadway in its facility.
Caring Kitchen 2.0 will provide a nutritious meal once a week in its new location in Jay. Feed My Sheep will provide a food pantry for those in need on the same day.
The combined operation is designed to allow the two organizations to join forces in order to serve members of the community.
