An application for payment to Morehead Construction for the Tia Juana Fire Department building project was tabled during the Monday, Jan. 22 Delaware County Commissioners meeting.
The motion to table the approval for application for payment was due to insufficient paper work.
In financial business, the commissioners approved an invoice of $7,809.65 from Redlands Contracting, LLC. for the box culvert project in District No. 3.
Also approved was an intrafund transfer of $5,000 from the Hickory Grove Fire Department capital outlay account to its maintenance and operations account, an intrafund transfer of $8,300 from the sheriff’s maintenance and operations account to its SSF Stop Grant account and a $7,560 intrafund transfer from the sheriff’s grant fund account to its maintenance and operations account.
The commissioners also approved a request for a current list of county-owned vehicles used by all county road districts.
Due to inclement weather last week, the regular county commissioner meeting was cancelled and a special meeting took place on Friday, Jan. 19.
During that meeting, the commissioners approved paying several invoices for housing Delaware County inmates.
Invoices approved were for $7,695 for the Craig County Sheriff’s office for housing 16 inmates, $2,950 for the Craig County Detention Center for housing four inmates and $1,911 to the Tulsa County Juvenile Bureau for housing two juveniles. These invoices were for December.
In other financial business, the commissioners approved to transfer $15,000 from the county general fund to the resale account, $17,193.20 within accounts in the Sheriff’s Department, $39,960 from the Oaks Fire Department FEMA account to its capital outlay account and to transfer $113,690 from the county’s Highway Cash Back account to the Wolf Creek Bridge project in District No. 1.
The commissioners also approved a supplemental and modification agreement with the state Department of Transportation for the Colcord Keithley Road project, an interagency agreement between the sheriff’s office and West Siloam Springs Police Department and a borrow permit agreement with Mark Linch for hillside soil in District No. 3.
Also approved with the current list of Board of Directors and officers for the Hickory Grove Rural Fire Department. Officers include: Frankie Shepherd, president; Thomas Ponko, vice-president; Mary Kriesch, secretary and treasurer; Angie Shepherd, bookkeeper; Donald Poteet and Kim Garcia, members; Dakota Cox, interim fire chief; Barbara Barnes and Cox, requisitioning; George Yates and Allen Yates, receiving, Justin Tesreau and Cox, inventory.
Other items approved were:
• disposing of Xerox printer that belonged to the Delaware County Health Department.
• file the schedule of federal awards for the fiscal year ending June 30.
• a Memorandum of Understanding with the sheriff's department and ROCMND area youth services.
Commissioner Martin Kirk did not attend the Jan. 19 meeting.
The next meeting is 9 a.m., Monday, Jan. 29 at the Delaware County Courthouse in the Commissioners’ Public Meeting room.
