Grove Chamber to host tax seminar

Officials with the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, along with Northeast Tech will host at tax update seminar with Dean Mills, CPA, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 25, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 555 East Third Street, Grove.

Topics will include the impact of the tax cuts and jobs act to business and personal taxes, new guidelines for auto and travel expenses, the scoop on tax audits and also provide participants a chance to ask questions.

GMS Science Fair

The Grove Middle School Science Fair awards ceremony and open house will take place beginning at 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 25, at the Grove Civic Center, 1702 South Main, Grove.

The awards presentation is slated to begin at 7 p.m.

GHS Speech Rummage Sale

Volunteers with the Grove High School Speech Team will host a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Grove High School Commons area.

Participants are asked to park in the student parking lot (at the rear of the high school) and enter thru the gym entrance.

The sale will include all kinds of treasurers including furniture. Proceeds will benefit the speech activities.
