Donations continue to come in to help the Friends of the F-4 Phantom finance the placement of the decommissioned F-4 Phantom Jet in front of Ferra Aerospace in Grove.

Recent donations of $1,000 each from the Grove DAV Chapter 19, and Wyandotte Tribe, along with continued support from Bank of Grand Lake officials, have helped organizers raise just under $50,000 in cash and $20,000 in in-kind donations.

Beverly Helms, one of the leaders of the F-4 Friends of the Phantom project, estimates the group still needs to raise at least $30,000, to complete the park located on the east of the Ferra entrance on Highway 10.

Helms said the group currently has enough to pay for the jet's shipment - which is expected later this spring - from Holloman Air Base in New Mexico.

To help bring the F4 to Grove by spring 2018, persons interested may make contributions online to www.gofundme.com/GroveF4Phantom or send donations by mail to Grove Rotary Foundation F4 Phantom, PO Box 451557, Grove, OK 74345-1557.
