Taste of Grace

Taste Of Grace, a free soup outreach ministry, organized by members of Trinity Baptist Church, Grove, will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., every Wednesday, at the church.

The event is designed to provide soup to anyone, no questions asked. No preaching, just "made from scratch soup."

Freezin' for a reason

The 2018 Great Grand Lake Polar Bear Plunge will take place from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 6, at Wolf Creek Park in Grove.

The event is designed to raise funds for a project which strives to provide coats to children in need within the Grove Public School System.

In the past five years, more than 400 coats have been given out.

Cost is $25, which includes a plunge t-shirt. Registration (and food) will take place at 1 p.m., with the plunge at 2 p.m.

Grand Lake Audubon to meet

Wildlife around Grand Lake will be the topic of the January meeting of the Grand Lake Audubon Society.

Bob Livesay, local photographer, will be the guest speaker at 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 8, at Trinity Baptist Church, Fourth and Main, Grove.
