Recently I sat in my warm living room and sighed.
It was at that moment, I realized, I have a blessed life.
I have a job I love - which lets me talk to a plethora of people on any given day.
I have a husband who loves me - and finds numerous ways to remind me on a weekly or even daily basis.
I have a cat who claims me, well when he doesn't want to snuggle with The Lawman.
I have friends who love and encourage me. I have co-workers who care enough to "kick me out of the office" when I'm sick (like last week) - and wifi so I can put the paper out from bed when the "gunk" hits hard.
I have a kidlet (now amazing young woman) who surprised me with an unbelieveable token of love.
I have a good life.
It's easy to have a half-empty view of life. The daily drudge of life can wear us thin.
But in this holiday season, it's a good time to look around and see the blessings in life.
Be it big or small, the blessings are there. We just have to "seize the moment" and look for them.
My prayer for you, is that you too feel grateful, thankful and blessed during this holiday season.
