Becky L. Moore, 77, of Grove passed away on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017 at Grand Lake Villa after several months of illness.
Becky was born on Nov. 25, 1939 to Robert and Lillian (Hart) Seaton in Miami. She grew up and graduated high school in Commerce.
On Dec. 28, 1958 Becky married the love of her life, Bill Moore in Commerce, and the couple made their home in Hawaii for the remaining time that Bill was enlisted in the U.S. Army.
Following Bill’s military service the couple settled in Wichita, Kansas, where Becky worked as a customer service supervisor for Southwestern Bell for 25 years, until retiring in 1991.
In 1992, the couple moved to Grove to be near the lake, where they enjoyed fishing and boating together. Bill preceded her in death in December 2016.
Becky was full of life and loved to make people laugh. She was known for her humor and quick wit but she was also a very classy lady and adored her cats and enjoyed her Mahjong group. Becky was flamboyant and fun-loving and Bill, good naturedly, went along with her antics.
As well as being preceded in death by her husband, Bill and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister Melba Haertling.
Becky is survived by two nieces: Andrea Haertling of League City, Texas and Teresa Taeger of Houston, Texas.
A celebration of life event will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Buffalo Shores South Club House, Grove, under the direction of Nichols Funeral & Cremation Services.
