Road Trip: Destination Victory for the Bulldogs is the theme for this year’s homecoming at Jay High School, as the Bulldogs take on the Locust Grove Pirates at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 13, at the J.B. Earp Stadium in Jay.

Jade Frazier and Keng Veng have been tapped by their classmates to serve as the 2017 Homecoming Queen and King.

The queen's attendants include: Avery Williamson, senior attendant; Maya Michelle Sharp, junior attendant; Sydney Taylor, sophomore attendant; and Lexie Rae Farley, freshman attendant.

The football escorts include: Stormy Taylor, Jaden Shotpouch, Levi Sanford and Trader Osburn.

Coronation of the homecoming royalty takes place beginning at 6:30 p.m., Friday, with kickoff time for the game set at 7 p.m., both at J.B. Earp Stadium.

The Homecoming Court

Queen 

Jade Frazier - senior, daughter of Richard and Genita Frazier. She is involved in the student council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and FFA. 

She is in Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and FFA. She is also a member of the softball and basketball teams. 

Future plans: She plans to attend Rogers State University and pursue a career in the medical field with the goal of becoming a physician’s assistant.

Favorite thing about high school: "Being around friends and and being involved in different activities."

Senior Attendant 

Avery Williamson - senior, daughter of Tim and Trisha Williamson. 

She is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, student council, science club and serves as the senior class vice president. 

Future plans: She plans to attend the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and become "a trophy wife."

Favorite thing about high school: "The amount of spirit that everyone has when it is football Friday.”

Junior Attendant 

Maya Sharp - junior, daughter of Randy and Natalee Sharp and sister of Meghan Sharp.

She serves as the junior class president, drum major for the Jay High School Band, drama club reporter and is the history club reporter.

She is also an All-State Honor Choir member for the past three years, All District Choir member for the past two years, and National Honor Choir member, as well as a member of the jazz choir. 

She is also involved in student council, History Day, FOMC, the Jay First Assembly of God Worship team, Mercy for Animals and PETA.

Future plans: She plans to pursue a double major in music and contemporary music performance at the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. She eventually would like to obtain her doctorate, so she can be known as "Dr. Maya."

Favorite thing about high school: Choir and band. "All district and all state are the highlights of my year. Being there along with the best singers in the state who all love music just as much as you do is an indescribable feeling. I am so excited to experience nationals in November.

"Then there is the crazy band stories that make for great memories. Marching competitions are my favorite. I am not sure how to explain it but music makes me happy."

Sophomore Attendant

Sydney Taylor – sophomore, daughter of Samule and Shanna Taylor. 

Taylor is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Student Council. She is also a member of the softball and basketball teams.

Future plans: She plans to go to college and pursue a career as a photographer.

Favorite thing about high school: "Chicken Patty Wednesday."

Freshman Attendant

Alexis (Lexi) Rae Farley - freshman, daughter of Butch and Becki Farley.

Farley participates in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and student council. She is also a member of the cross country and basketball teams.

Future plans: graduate high school and college. "From there I have yet to figure it out."

Favorite part about high school: Lunch.

King

Ken Vang - senior, son of Pa Her and Moua Vang. He is a wide receiver and defensive back for the Jay Football Bulldogs.

Future plans: He plans to go to college and pursue a career as a personal trainer.

Favorite thing about high school: Hanging out with his football friends.

Escorts

Levi Sanford- senior, son of Mesha Sanford. He is a tight end and linebacker for the Jay Football Bulldogs. 

He is a member of the student council and FFA.

Future plans: To go into the U.S. Army for 10 years, become part of the special forces team, and then retire in Jay.

Favorite thing about high school: "Doing sports with my boys and watching film on Sundays."

Jaden Shotpouch - senior, son of Connie and Johnson Shotpouch. He is a wide receiver and defensive back for the Jay Football Bulldogs.

He is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, track, cross country and powerlifting.

Future plans: Graduate and "live in my mom's basement."

Favorite thing about high school: Sports.

Stormy J. Taylor - senior, son of Ricky and Myrna Taylor. He is a running back and defensive back for the Jay Football Bulldogs.

Future plans: Attend college and pursue a career as a physical therapist. 

Favorite thing about high school: "Hanging out with my friends."

Trader Osburn - senior, son of Darren and Misty Osburn. He is a tight end and linebacker for the Jay Football Bulldogs.

He is a member of the student council and INTEGRIS Grove Hospital student board.

Future plans: Attend Oklahoma State University and pursue a degree in engineering.

Favorite thing about high school: Spring break, basketball trips, Sundays watching film and hanging out after Friday's game.
