Seniors Jaiden Beaver and Choogie Young will reign as the 2017 Oaks-Mission Football Homecoming royalty this week, as the Oaks-Mission Varsity Warriors takes on the Canadian Cougars.

Kickoff for the game is set for 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 13, in Oaks, with the coronation events set to start at 6:30 p.m.

The annual homecoming parade will take place at 6 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 12. 

Queen

Jaiden LaVongh Beaver - senior, daughter of Jamie Beaver and Kody Tsethlikai, and the granddaughter of Arch and Patsy Beaver.

Beaver plays softball and basketball.

Future plans: undecided. 

Favorite thing about high school: “Sports and my friends."

King

Choogie Young - senior, son of Chero and Penny Young, and grandson of Bo and Betty Welch and the late Joe Young and Dave and Hazel Dykes.

He is a member of the Oaks-Mission football team, as well as the Oaks-Mission FFA Chapter, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Indian Club.

Future plans: Play college football.

Favorite thing about high school: Football and FFA.

Seniors

Aleigha Dry - daughter of Virgil and Kimberly Dry.

She is a member of the softball team and Oaks-Mission FFA Chapter.

Future plans: Attend Haskell Indian Nations University.

Favorite thing about high school: Sports. "Softball is my favorite.”

Brenden Robbins - son of A.J. and Joy Robbins.

He is a member of the Oaks-Mission football team and involved with other athletic programs.  

Future plans: Go to college, study zoology and pursue a football career.

Favorite thing about high school: "Football and the thought of finishing high school.”

Juniors

Tigeris Marie Quinn - daughter of Kaw-Liga (Chooch) and Letitia (Choc) Quinn.

She is a member of the softball, cross country, basketball and cheerleading teams.

Future plans: Attend college and pursue a career in the medical field.

Favorite thing about high school: Playing sports.

Tree Isaac Miles - son of David and Julienne Sanders.

A member of the Oaks-Mission football team, he is also on the Ebenezer Lutheran Church council.

Future plans: Go to welding school.

Favorite thing about high school: "Playing all sports and getting an education.”

Sophomores

Abbigayle Joann Stopp - daughter of James and Brandy Stopp.

She is a member of the softball, basketball and cheerleading and is taking journalism.

Future plans: Attend college.

Favorite thing about high school: "Seeing my friends.”

Jackson Ross - son of Stan and Brandi Ross and grandson of the late Lewis and Ruth Ross, the late Guy and Sabetha Trowbridge and Lynn Trowbridge.

A member of the Oaks-Mission football team, he also is in baseball and powerlifting.  

Future plans: Go to college or join the military.

Favorite thing about high school: "Practice and keeping my grades up.”

Freshmen

Ashley Danyelle Cummings - daughter of Benjamin (Dink) and Traci Cummings.

Cummings takes part in talent search and plays softball and basketball.

Future plans: Go to college and pursue a career as a dentist. 

Favorite thing about high school: "Learning so I can go to college.”

Orin Twist - son of Greg Twist.

A member of the Oaks-Mission football team, he also plays basketball and baseball and is in powerlifting.

Future plans: Go to college.

Favorite thing about high school: "Seeing all the girls.”

Flower girl and Crown Bearer

Ashlynn Soap - daughter of Gerald and Christina Fixin, and the granddaughter of Martha Cummings and the late Bobby Soap.

Soap likes gymnastics, drawing, cheerleading and spending time with her brother and cousins.

Future plans: Become a teacher, because she wants to help people learn.

Evan Russell - son of Rachel Russell and the grandson of Rick and Brenda Daniels.

He likes riding bikes, playing video games and running with all of the Indian kids in Rocky Ford.

Future plans: Become a professional gamer.
