Anita Carol Morris, 74,  Grove passed away at her home on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017.

She was born on Oct. 10, 1942 in Cement, Oklahoma to Walter and Ann (Wicks) Matches. Carol was devoted to her family who pledged her life doing God’s work.

She witnessed in the Grove area for years and was an advocate in the native community.

She was an established artist and had her work displayed at the capitol in Oklahoma City. She loved gardening and photography.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Ann Matches and three sisters.

Survivors include her children: Chris Morris and his wife Lesa of Vinita, and Tajah Liddy and her husband David of Round Rock, Texas, along with her grandchildren: Connor Liddy, Colt Morris, Kayden Morris and Tanner Morris and a great-grandchild: Ainsley Morris.

Services took place on Sunday, Oct. 8, at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland.
