More than 120 participants of all ages came out to take part in the activities surrounding the 2017 Walk For Life.

In all 80 people ran or walk in the 5K or Fun Run, raising a total of $11,931 for the Abundant Blessings Center in Grove, according to ABC Director Donna Allen.

In addition to businesses who served as sponsors, volunteers from several organizations and ministries helped with the event including:

Three Rivers Church, registration

Church of the Shepherd, snack shack

St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, INTEGRIS Grove Hospital, and Grove Dental Associates helping with water tables,

Christian Motorcycle Association, helping with the race cource safety.

Kenny Peters served as the race coordinator and Larry Bolton was the master of ceremonies for the event.

Awards given to runners included:

Oldest Runner - Paul Taylor (86)

Youngest Runner Tied - Anna Byers and Wyatt Matthews (4)

First Place Women - Nora Sheffield

Second Place Women - Anna Bacon

Third Place Women - Kaitlynn Hasselman

First Place Man - Isaac Sheffield

Second Place Man - Jackson Gain

Third Place Man - Rowdy Mullen

First Place fun run - AJ Byers

Second Place fun run - Ava Byers

Third Place fun run - Cole Matthews
