Students of all ages had a chance to touch, feel and experience a variety of vehicles on Saturday, Sept. 30, during the Touch a Truck gathering at Wolf Creek Park.

The event, hosted by volunteers from the Grove Public Library, brought together a variety of vehicles including law enforcement patrol vehicles, construction equipment, emergency ambulances and helicopters, fire trucks, race cars and more.

Children could sit inside the vehicles, sound off sirens and in some cases talk on loud speakers, as well as talk with various community helpers throughout the day.

This is the fifth year members of the Grove Library staff, along with Friends of the Library, have sponsored the event.
