Members of the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, including staff and ambassadors, hosted a ribbon cutting on Thursday, Aug. 31 at the new location of Note-Able Workshop at 31 Cozy Drive in Grove. Ken and Myra Noteboom were looking for a product to begin a work training mission after their retirement and that was when they discovered an outdoor furniture system based upon the use of Western Red Cedar. Their goal has been to become a work training organization assisting those who are working their way out of poverty or community sentencing and are serious about improving their lives within a Christian atmosphere. Those in attendance included Angie Edwards, Bank of Grove; Gerald Sullivan, Hickory Inn; Cindy Hefner, Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative; Joy Justice-Moss, Northeast Technology Center; Ken and Myra Noteboom, cutting the ribbon with Note-Able Workshop employee John Temple; Cheryl Flood, The Dodd Company; Aaron Cue, Admiral Express; Amy Napier, First National Bank; Jeff Dozier, Cherokee Storage; Valerie Rabe, First National Bank; and Ivan Devitt, The Dodd Company.
