Foodies and wine connoisseurs will travel from near and far to take part in Grand Lake’s premier food and wine tasting event, Taste of Grand, set for 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 23 at 900 East 13 Street in Grove.
Taste of Grand is presented by major event sponsors, Bank of Grove and Nabholz Corporation.
The annual event has become a staple in the community where guests indulge the finest catering and wine vendors from the tristate area. Taste of Grand never disappoints, and this year will be no different.
With live music, more than 30 food and beverage vendors, plus other attractions such as a wine pull, it is a fun evening for a great cause. The winners of Supreme Cuisine, People’s Choice and other awards will be announced at the conclusion of the event.
Not only is Taste of Grand an entertaining Saturday night, the true purpose of the event provides much more to the community than just a fun night out. All proceeds raised will help improve the health of the community, ease some of Grand Lake residents’ financial burdens related to medical care and provide funding for local programs.
Some examples of programs include the People in Need fund, Defibrillator Campaign, Camp Bandage, Townsend Children’s Fund and the Cancer Patient Assistance Fund.
Bank of Grove is one of the major event sponsors and has supported the event each year since its inception.
“We are so appreciative of their faithful support,” said Kristi Wallace, event chairman. “Bank of Grove has allowed us to help countless people through the Hospital Foundation, and it would not be possible without their generosity.
“We are also thrilled to welcome Nabholz Corporation back for their second year of a generous sponsorship.”
Founded as a small construction company in 1949, Nabholz has grown to into a national mutli-service contractor offering a full range of construction, industrial, civic and environmental services.
Sponsoring the Taste of Grand and supporting the hospital foundation falls into their identified purpose of sharing their blessings by giving their time, talent and treasure to improving the cities and town they live in, and the lives of their neighbors, Wallace said.
Taste of Grand tickets are $85 and may be purchased at Grove area banks or by visiting the Taste of Grand website at www.TasteOfGrand.com.
All proceeds benefit the INTEGRIS Foundation, a nonprofit organization that funds continuing advancements in local health care and medical treatments for those in need.
In addition to the major event sponsors, the Bank of Grove and Nabolz, Taste of Grand is also presented by premier sponsors: Grand Lake Dental, Grand River Abstract, and Grove Dental Associates, as well as gold sponsors: Grand Savings Bank.
