Lonnie Dwayne Shelley, 81 resident of West Siloam Springs, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at his home.
Born Feb. 10, 1936, in Delaware County, Oklahoma, he was the son of John Robert Shelley and Teelie Neoma Braden Shelley.
Lonnie married LaWanna McCratic on Oct. 20, 1962. He was a truck driver and worked also as a machinist. Lonnie was a member of Second Baptist Church, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Kenneth, J.D., Phagan and Barto Shelley and sister Maxine Allison.
Survivors include his wife LaWanna of the home; daughters: LaDonna Lucas and husband Norman of Colcord, and Genise England and husband Leon of Summers, Arkansas; four grandchildren: Andrew Lucas and wife Krista, Amanda Lucas, Chris Baer and wife Cori and Tegan Baer; seven great-grandchildren; and two sister-in-laws Wilma Shelley of Gentry, Arkansas and Willa Mae Shelley of Colcord.
Visitation will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 23, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
Services will take place at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 24, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery, West Siloam Springs.
