A Funeral Service celebrating the life of Darren Lowell Crockett, 50, will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2017, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. The family will receive friends prior to the service from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lowell was born November 29, 1966, in Miami, to Ronda Mae Barnes Crockett and Ronald Lowell Crockett. He passed away Monday, July 24, 2017, in Shreveport, LA.
Lowell’s lifelong passion, working as a hair stylist began at the age of 18. The owner of Lowell Crocket A Salon, he was well regarded by his clients and peers.
Lowell was a collector of art and precious items, including people who he embraced as family. His home was a welcoming place where he entertained friends. Many local organizations benefited from his philanthropy. Lowell was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and great friend. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Patricia and John Lowell Crockett, and maternal grandparents, Imogene and Herschel Barnes.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents of Grove; his sister, Debra Ann Crockett Broussard Millet of Hammond, LA; and niece, Hannah Grace Broussard of Hammond, LA.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff on the Seventh Floor and ICU at Willis-Knighton Pierremont, and his adopted Shreveport family for taking care of his parents, sister and niece during this difficult time.
