Rape is a strong word. Oh, I am sorry, did I say is a strong word? I meant was a strong word.
Rape was a word used in conversation that carried the head shaking horror of a society. Rape is an attack on women, but also to the standards of a civilization that make us humans instead of animals.
Those days are gone, and with it, some of the last vestiges of a rising civilization.
Several months ago, a young man raped a girl behind a dumpster here in America. The young man is a potentially great future swimmer, so the judge didn’t want him to miss his training schedule for long, and sentenced the youth to six months jail time! How much is your daughter’s mental, emotional, and physical health worth? Six months?
Depravity grows in America as we toss God aside; however, it is far worse in many of the persecuting countries of Christians.
Across the Middle East and North Africa, the rape of Christian women and girls is a common everyday event. The news media doesn’t cover it anymore.
I rarely ever hear American pastors talk about it, or talk about the genocide that continues against Christians. America lives on another planet than the rest of the Christian church.
While our sisters in Christ worldwide continue to suffer humiliation, rape, and slaughter, let us pray every day for the persecuted church and the women who carry on serving Jesus under mind-numbing circumstances. May God be with each one of the ladies!
