Volunteers at Grove Public Library hosted a Jr. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) lab on Friday, July 7, for children ages 4 to 8.

Linda Adams, a Grove teacher and part-time employee of the library, organized the lab to focus on insects.

Tessa DuBois, an incoming Grove High School senior, represented the Delaware County 4-H Club at the lab and presented a short entomology lesson to the children. Afterward, the kids were set loose outside to hunt for bugs.

Adams said the next lab will take place on Friday, July 21 and cover technology. The event is free, but registration is required. Persons interested in the next lab may visit the library or call the library at 918-786-2845.
