Sixteen students of a variety of ages took part in the annual Frog Jumping Contest at the 2017 Huckleberry Festival.

The event, sponsored each year by the Delaware County Friendship Home, gives students a chance to find a frog, place it on the tarp, and see how far it will jump.

It became the Friendship Home's signature event during the festival, according to Alicia Jory, residential director, because the staff wanted to find something unusual to do for students.

In the end, Conner Dunham won with "Skippy" who jumped 161 inches, while Sawyer Lane came in second with with "Jumper" who landed 112 inches from the start, and Kannon Scott, who placed third with "Jeff" who jumped 68 inches.
