Patriotic Cantata at Cleora UMC
Members of the Cleora United Methodist Church choir will present a patriotic cantata: America, Voice of Freedom, A Vision for the Future, at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, June 2, at Cleora UMC.
The event will provide a salute to the Armed Forces, give thanks for God’s blessings and sing of the hopes and dreams for the country - and others - as well as include music of peace.

McGlasson in Concert
Nashville recording artist Melinda McGlasson will be in concert in two venues on Sunday, July 2, in northeast Oklahoma.
The morning concert, at 10:45 a.m., is part of the worship service at Welch Baptist Church, Fifth and Curtis Street, in Welch. It will include a variety of music, including some with a patriotic theme.
The second concert takes place at 6:30 p.m., at Calvary Baptist Church, 434 North First Street in Vinita. It will include a variety of music, including some selections from McGlasson’s newest album.
McGlasson, a native of Oklahoma, is a contemporary Christian artist. She currently resides in the panhandle of Oklahoma with her husband and sons.

Celebrate America at Cornerstone
Celebrate America will be the theme of the worship service on Sunday, July 2, at Cornerstone Church in Grove.
Pastor Sheri Burnaman will present the message, along with patriotic music, singing and a video.

First UMC's Freedom Fest
On Monday, July 3, members of First United Methodist Church, Grove, will host the third annual "Freedom Fest" an All-Church Independence Day Celebration, beginning at 7 p.m., at the church located at 1005 Leisure Road, Grove.
The event will include games for small children, and outdoor viewing of the City of Grove's Wolf Creek Park fireworks display.
Participants are encouraged to enter the property using the paved drives from Leisure Lane, and bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. The event will include music by the church's praise band and bounce houses for kids.
The venue is designed to be a family-friendly setting to view the fireworks. Participants are asked to refrain from smoking. In keeping with city ordinances, no alcohol or fireworks will be permitted at the site.
