A day of air-conditioned comfort, mixed with hot cajun music and food, await guests at this year's Cajun Fest.

The event, which takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, July 1, at the Grove Civic Center, will include performances by the Louisiana-based group featuring Chris Miller, along with Jana Jae and Friends.

Sponsored by the Grand Lake Festivals, the event will also include a chance to dance, and eat some cajun favorites including gumbo and red beans and rice.

Additionally, food truck vendors will be on site offering options such as "fish on a stick", burgers, fries and more.  Arts and Craft vendors will also be on hand with a variety of wares.

The family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Donations will be taken at the door to help offset the costs. Sponsors for the event include the Oklahoma Arts Council, National Endowment of the Arts, Grove Convention & Tourism Bureau, Oklahoma Film and Music and the City of Grove.

Doors will open at 9 a.m., with the fun beginning at 10 a.m., at the civic center, 1702 South Main, Grove. For more information, persons interested may call 918-786-8896.
