Officials with the City of Miami’s Department of Tourism and Recreation will host the first Summer Movie Night Series movie this weekend, Friday, May 19, at the Miami Civic Center.

The movie, Trolls, was originally scheduled to be shown at Riverview Park but officials are moving it inside due to the weather forecast. Doors at the Civic Center will open at 6:30 p.m. The movie will begin at 7:30 p.m.

During the evening, concessions from J&S Concessions and The Frozen Elephant will be onsite. The event is $5 per family and open to the community. Parental/Adult supervision is required. Payment may be made by checks, cash or credit cards on site.

“We are looking forward to the Outdoor Summer Movie Series and hope to bring more family events such as these to the City of Miami” said Charly Petrek, recreation coordinator for the City of Miami. “These movie night series will continue for fall 2017. Our goal is to add themed nights to future events for the kids."
