Celia Crichton, 62, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, due to complications from cancer.

She was born on April 9, 1955, in Grove, eventually residing in Barstow for 18 years. She was an active member of the American Civil War Society, and was involved with the Silver Valley Baptist Church.

Celia is survived by husband David Crichton, mother Bonnie Hobbs of Jay; brothers Randall Hobbs of Lindsay, Oklahoma, and Steven Hobbs of Jay; sister Tawnya York of Bartlesville; son William Shorter of Portland, Oregon; daughters Teana Montanez of Lawton and Lori Crichton of Portland, Oregon; step-daughters Ann Crichton and Patricia Crichton, both of Everett, Washington; and six grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life/Memorial Service date is to be determined. Location will be Silver Valley Baptist Church in Yermo, California, with Pastor Gino Abaldo officiating.

The best way to picture Faye is she was an Army wife and best friend to her husband for 35 years.
