Law Enforcement Memorial
Volunteers at Grove Church of Christ will host the first, of what they hope will become an annual local observance, to coincide with the National Police Week.
During the service, set for 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, at the church, volunteers will recognize law enforcement personnel within Oklahoma and Delaware County who died during the line of duty. The church is located at 1001 South Grand, Grove.
A wreath with flowers will also be part of the service. Each flower will represent the fallen officers, those who were injured in the line of duty, those who died as a result suicide connected to their law enforcement careers, and those who continue to serve within the City of Grove, the county and state.

VBS at Grace Harbor
Volunteers at Grace Harbor Baptist Church will host Operation Arctic VBS from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m., Monday, May 22 to Friday, May 26, at the church, 16 11th Street, in Grove.

‘Ties & Tiaras’ Dance
Daughters of the King will host “Ties and Tiaras”, designed as an “unforgettable night for dads, grandpas, uncles and other father-figures”, to dance and dine with the special “princess or princesses” in their lives.
The event, for girls ages 3 to 12, will take place at 6 p.m., Friday, June 2, at First United Methodist Church, Grove.
The event is $10 per couple, with $5 for each additional daughter. Church or semi-formal attire is requested. It will include dinner, dancing and more. Free photography provided by Samantha Sullivan and music provided by DJ Brock Short.

All Star Sports Camp
Volunteers at Crossroads Church will host the annual All Star Sports Camp from 8:30 a.m. to noon, Monday, June 5 to Thursday, June 8, at the church, located at 56900, US Highway 59 near the flashing lights at Highway 59/125.
The event, "Conquer the Day" will feature basketball for girls and boys ages 6 6 to 12, cheerleading for girls ages 5 to 12; soccer for girls and boys ages 5 to 12; and baseball for girls and boys ages 7 to 12.
The event is free. Students who register by Friday, May 19, will receive a free t-shirt. Late registration will be available at the door.
The awards night, at 6 p.m., Thursday, June 8, will feature Craig Lemley, formerly of the PowerTeam.

VBS at Lake Center Baptist
Volunteers will host “Galactic Starveyors” Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday, June 5 to Friday, June 9, at Lake Center Baptist Church, Monkey Island.
A VBS service will take place on Sunday, June 11, with Sunday School at 9:45 a.m., and a program at 11 a.m., with a family fun carnival to follow.

First UMC VBS
Volunteers at First United Methodist Church in Grove will host "Hero Central" a Vacation Bible School, from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday, June 12 to Thursday, June 15, at the church, located at 1005 Leisure Road, Grove.

GriefShare at Bible Baptist
A 13-week long GriefShare Class will take place from 2 to 4 p.m., on Sundays, beginning Sunday, April 23 to July 23, at Bible Baptist Church, 28050S. 630 Road, Grove.
The class is free, however the companion book is $20.
The sessions are designed to help people who have had losses, no matter how long ago or recent. It is also designed help people know that everyone grieves differently and how to try and cope with the changes after they lose someone.

GriefShare at First Baptist
GriefShare, a series of 13-week sessions will take place at Grove's First Baptist Church, Grove, now until Monday, June 19.
The sessions are for anyone grieving the death of a family member or friend. Participants do not have to attend every session. The workshop is free. A companion workbook to use during the workshop will cost $15.

Bluegrass Jam at St. Andrew's
Musicians of all ages are invited to take part in the weekly Bluegrass Jam from 6 to 9 p.m., every Monday, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Grove.

Taste of Grace
Taste Of Grace, a free soup outreach ministry, organized by members of Grace Presbyterian Church, Grove, will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m., every Wednesday, at the church.
The event is designed to provide soup to anyone, no questions asked. No preaching, just "made from scratch soup."

Caring Kitchen/Feed My Sheep
Volunteers with The Caring Kitchen and Feed My Sheep have combined efforts to provide their services on the same day.
The Caring Kitchen, now located at 11th and Washbourne, in Jay, will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, while Feed My Sheep will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m, across the roadway in its facility.
Caring Kitchen 2.0 will provide a nutritious meal once a week in its new location in Jay. Feed My Sheep will provide a food pantry for those in need on the same day.
The combined operation is designed to allow the two organizations to join forces in order to serve members of the community.
