Afton Poultry Swap
The next Afton Poultry swap take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 12, 13 and 14, at the swap location - 53991 East Highway 59, Afton, near Buffalo Ranch.
The event includes everything from goats, calves, pigs, rabbits, dogs, pigeons, chickens, ducks, geese, guineas, cats, parrots, cockatiels, lumber, tin, incubators, arts and crafts, fruits and vegetables, shirt painting, quilts, rugs, garage sale items, flea market items and more.
This is the 30th year for the swap. A 30th anniversary celebration will take place at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 21, at the Tin Barn at the Afton Poultry Swap.

GLARE open house
Members of the Grove High School Robotics Team will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 13, at the Grand Lake Area Robotics Education facilities, located just north of the Grove High School campus on Ford Road.
Barkaritaville returns to Grove
The second Barkaritaville, to benefit the Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake, will take place from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday, May 20, at the Honey Creek Landing and Marina, located next to Honey Creek Bridge.
The event will include a “cheeseburgers in paradise” dinner hosted by the staff of The Parrot Steakhouse and Grill, live music by The Exit 34 Band, and a charity auction.
