GOLF QUESTION OF THE WEEK:

What is meant by the handicap system in golf?

Any attempt at handicapping attempts to give odds, so the results will be all equal.

Handicapping tries to equalize every player. Ultimately, whoever wins makes the least mistakes. Handicapping allows better players and lesser to play together. Individual holes are assessed a degree of difficulty from hardest hole on the course to easiest. Players are assigned a handicap that generally is the difference from par and what they usually shoot.

GOLF JOKE of THE WEEK

The schoolteacher was taking her first golfing lesson. "Is the word spelt p-u-t or p-u-t-t?" she asked the instructor. "P-u-t-t is correct," he replied. "Put means to place a thing where you want it. Putt means merely a vain attempt to do the same thing."

Keep it in the Middle !
