Officials with Amedisys and Good Shepherd Hospice are fishing "hook, line and sinker" for equipment to use for an upcoming senior fishing experience.
According to Hannah Frazier, with Good Shepherd Hospice, organizers are looking for donations of any new or used fishing poles, minnow buckets, line, lures, tackle, and more.
Items may be brought to the Good Shepherd Hospice from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, May 5. Hot dogs and chips will be available for everyone who makes a donation.
"All equipment will be used to provide fun days of fishing for nursing home, home health and hospice patients," Frazier said in a written release.
The first fishing day is set for 10 a.m., Monday, June 5, at Wolf Creek Park.
